Course Description
This course will discuss the impact of sex and gender on eye health. Globally, women have higher rates of eye disease and risk of vision loss. The path towards eye health equity includes increasing the role of women in ophthalmology. Despite more women ophthalmologists, there is persistent underrepresentation in leadership, surgical subspecialization, and compensation. This panel shares expertise in leadership, mentorship, and negotiation.

Educational Objective
Apply practical skills in leadership, mentorship, and negotiation to increase the role and representation of women in ophthalmology and describe how this may positively impact sex and gender eye health disparities.
